Rutger van Bruggen (1987) is a Dutch artist.
Rutger has been fascinated with the art of the old masters from a young age. He has dedicated many years to studying this seemingly mysterious world of pigments, resins, oils and spirits. For a long time, he believed their work to be so magical due to their choice in materials and mediums, but he later found out that good draftsmanship was the pillar on which the materials rest.
